B. Andrew (Drew) Plant is an independent writer and communications strategist who previously worked in corporate public relations, at a daily newspaper, a small PR firm, a giant public utility and for an industry trade group. His last corporate position was as Vice President, Communications & Client Services, for a national insurance and financial firm.
Drew has created communications solutions for everything from nipple cream to nuclear power. He is especially adept at bringing fresh insight to all steps of business and communications processes, from needs analysis and strategic ideation to implementation.
He is a member of the Public Relations Society of America. His professional awards have come from that organization, as well as the American Advertising Federation, the International Association of Business Communicators and the Society for Technical Communication. These awards recognize both writing and broader public relations projects and campaigns.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in communications (Advertising major) from the University of Tennessee and a master’s degree in public administration from Georgia State University.
